THE VISION

Vision:

To lead the development of an effective primary care led health system delivering improved health and accident care outcomes for patients and populations through organised general practice (OGP).
OGP means groups of general practices, managers, and others working together in networks of cooperation and support, providing both individual and population oriented care for enrolled communities of patients.  OGP is supported at all levels by excellence in management services, to ensure optimum effectiveness and efficiency.

Purpose:

To ensure that OGP remains at the centre of the Primary Health Care sector.

Positioning:

To ensure we are the major national organisation representing and supporting OGP and the PHOs who support the important role of OGP.
To ensure we are the key network organisation supporting general practice.
